Natural Rubber Grooming Brush That Removes Loose Hair and Massages Skin

Product Description

The KONG ZoomGroom is a 2-in-1 natural rubber grooming brush that works both dry for brushing and wet during shampooing. The 3/4 inch rubber fingers reach through the coat to remove loose hair like a magnet while stimulating capillaries and natural oil production for a healthy skin and coat. Suitable for all coat types.

Features

  • 3/4 inch natural rubber fingers
  • Works dry for brushing
  • Works wet as a shampooer
  • Removes loose hair like a magnet
  • Stimulates capillaries and natural oil production

Benefits

  • Removes Loose Hair Efficiently: The rubber fingers grip and pull loose hair from the coat as you brush.
  • Stimulates Skin and Natural Oils: The 3/4 inch fingers reach through the coat to the skin, stimulating blood circulation and encouraging natural oil production.
  • Works Wet and Dry: Use it dry for regular brushing sessions between baths, and use it wet during shampooing to work lather through the coat and rinse.
  • More Effective Shampooing: The wide rubber fingers push shampoo through the coat more effectively than fingers, improving how deeply and evenly the shampoo reaches the skin.

How to Use

Usage Instructions

  • Dry brushing: Brush gently in a circular motion through your dog's dry coat; the rubber fingers grab loose hair and remove it from the coat.
  • Shampooing: Apply shampoo to the brush, then glide it through wet hair in a circular motion to work the lather through the coat, then rinse the brush and the coat together.
  • Empty the collected hair: After each brushing session, pull the collected loose hair from the rubber fingers and dispose of it.
  • Use regularly to reduce shedding: Regular brushing sessions with the ZoomGroom reduce the amount of loose hair that ends up on furniture, floors, and clothing.

Additional Information

Care Instructions

  • Rinse after shampooing: After bath use, rinse the brush thoroughly under clean water to wash away all shampoo residue.
  • Wash with mild soap when needed: For a deeper clean, wash the brush with soap and warm water, work it between the rubber fingers, rinse fully, and let it air dry.
  • Remove hair after every session: Pull collected loose hair from the fingers after each brushing session; letting it build up makes the brush less effective at grabbing new hair.
  • Store in a dry place: Keep the brush somewhere dry and clean between uses to prevent any moisture from sitting against the rubber between grooming sessions.

Safety Instructions

  • Not for aggressive chewing: This is a grooming tool, not a chew toy; if your dog starts biting or chewing the rubber body, remove it immediately and redirect them to an appropriate chew toy.
  • Supervise first sessions: Some dogs are unfamiliar with grooming tools; introduce the brush slowly with gentle strokes and positive reinforcement.
  • Keep from small children: The natural rubber brush is a grooming tool and not a toy; keep it stored away from children who might put it in their mouths or chew on the rubber fingers.
  • Avoid eyes and nose: Keep the rubber fingers away from your dog's eyes and nose during grooming; stick to the coat, neck, back, and legs where the fingers can work safely and comfortably.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the difference between Boysenberry and Raspberry?

Ans: Boysenberry and Raspberry refer to the two color styles. Boysenberry is a purple-blue color and Raspberry is a pink-red color. Both are identical in construction, materials, dimensions, and performance. The choice between them is purely a matter of color preference.

Q2: Can this brush be used during bath time?

Ans: Yes. That is one of its two primary uses. Apply shampoo directly to the brush, then work it through wet hair in a circular motion to distribute lather evenly through the coat. The rubber fingers push the shampoo closer to the skin than fingers alone, making the bath more effective.

Q3: Does this brush work on all coat types?

Ans: Yes. The rubber fingers work on short smooth coats, medium-length coats, and longer or denser coats. It is not a de-matting tool, so for heavily matted coats you would need a separate tool first, but for regular shedding and grooming the ZoomGroom brush handles most coat types without pulling.

Q4: How does this brush reduce shedding?

Ans: The rubber fingers grip loose, dead hair from the coat during each brushing session and hold it in the body of the brush. Regular sessions pull out the loose hair before it sheds naturally, which keeps less of it ending up on furniture and floors over time.

Q5: Is this brush gentle enough for sensitive dogs?

Ans: Yes. The all-natural rubber construction is soft enough for dogs that dislike wire or hard bristle brushes. The rubber fingers press against the skin without scratching, and the circular brushing motion is gentle enough to introduce to dogs that are new to regular grooming.

Q6: How do I clean the brush after use?

Ans: Pull the collected loose hair from the rubber fingers first, then rinse the brush under clean water. For a deeper clean, wash with soap, work it between the fingers, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. After bath sessions, rinse out any remaining shampoo fully before putting the brush away.
